Introduction
It's no secret; anti-LGBTQIA+ rehtoric is on the rise in our nation. From damning bills forcing students to censor their self-expression, to restrictions put on our bodies, we are being told both by our government and our society that we should feel ashamed. But, we're not. We refuse to lie down and admit defeat. We are alive, we are people, and we are here.
As a queer person in the Midwest, it's easy to think that you are alone. When every conversation is filled with hate and bigotry, you develope a sense of shame and guilt for something so fundamental to your identity. I was working through a slew of self-hatred when I met Maven Youth.
At Maven Youth, we work towards building a better future for all queer youth in America, no matter their race, class, or nationality. While teaching our campers about tech development, we encourage them to learn, meet, and build a community with eachother.
In order to continue and expand our work, we need $25,000 dollars of extra funding that will be put towards compensating leaders and providing campers the proper materials they need to succeed. As a single youth leader, I am working towards raising $1,000 dollars to help the organization meet this goal.

We need your help. By donating $25, you can help us work towards our goal of $1,000 in no time flat.
In a world that seems to be full of nothing but hostility, America's youth need a reminder that they are not alone. Help us provide future artists, tech developers, and writers with the materials and resources they need to become the best version of themselves.
No queer youth will ever feel alone again.
