This December 1st is #GivingTuesday, a worldwide day of giving to help support those in need. Please contribute to the Ben D. Johnson Educational Center during this day that brings communities together.

The Ben D. Johnson Educational Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Their mission is to build community in Natchitoches and give access to social and economic success for all its residents. 

The BDJ Center’s primary program is the Legacy Youth Workforce Development Program that teaches 17-24-year old’s workforce training, team building and life skills. Although in a culinary training environment, after graduation, the participants are equipped for entry level positions in many industries.  The training they receive prepares them for job placement so they can lead independent lives.

I just began working for the BDJ center and made the move down to Natchitoches three weeks ago, and each day I'm here, I feel more and more in awe of the transformative, imperative work the BDJ center is doing for the community of Natchitoches.
