Kim still needs your help!
With your help, we have been able to spay and neuter most of the animals that Kim is caring for, but we still need your help. The need for medical care, like flea and tick topicals is a monthly expense that we can help her with. Every cent you donate goes to these animals that she cares for.
I am participating on the new Homeward Trails Pet Partner Program. Through this, I have been matched with a family in rural Virginia who has a very limited income and cares for a great number of animals.
My Pet Partner is Kim T. She sadly lost her home to a massive fire last year and had to move away from the dozens of cats she cared for who lived on the property. She also suffered a serious medical setback, but none of that has stopped her from going daily to her burned down home to feed the kitties left behind. Homeward Trails met Kim in December 2021 during a cat trapping event and was awed by her amazing commitment to the animals - she knows the story and name and personality of each cat she has rescued.
The area in which they live is filled with poverty as well as stray and unwanted animals. So many folks are left with the heartbreaking decision of weather to feed their families or the animals they care for. Kim is a prime example. She desperately wants to provide for these cats and kittens and keep them safe until homes can be found. But her limited income makes it incredibly difficult.
I am committed through the Pet Partner Program to work directly with this family to secure donations of pet food and supplies and to raise funds to directly cover veterinary costs.
A donation here is tax-deductible and will only be used to secure animal items. Thank you so much for helping to make a difference in the life of an animal lover who gives so much with so little.
I will share photos and updates with you when I can!
