Nathan Love

Transplant Type: Liver

Nathan Love is fighting for his life. In 2016, he was diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. Unfortunately, the disease runs in his family, and also affects his sister. His condition leaves him tired and takes a toll on his quality of life. Doctors say a liver transplant is critical.

During this difficult time, Nathan is grateful for the love and support of his wife of 25 years, Amy, and their family and friends. Nathan has two sons, two stepsons, and five grandchildren. His illness prevents him from being the active husband, father, and grandfather he longs to be. Nathan enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and helping his 17-year-old son practice baseball, but his illness prevents him from being active now. He looks forward to receiving a transplant that will save his life and allow him to feel like himself again. Nathan wants nothing more than to be healthy so he can enjoy a normal life with his wife, sons, and grandchildren, return to work, and live his life to the fullest. But right now he needs your help.

The average liver transplant costs approximately $878,000, and that’s only the beginning. Even with insurance, which will cover a portion of the transplant costs, he still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and expensive anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are as critical to his survival as the transplant itself. Nathan’s illness forced him to stop working, further adding to his financial burdens.

You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to NFT in honor of Nathan. If you'd prefer to send your gift by mail, please send it to the NFT Oklahoma Transplant Fund, 3249 W Sarazens Circle, Suite 100, Memphis TN 38125. Please be sure to write "in honor of Nathan Love” in the memo line.
