Nereid Boat Club Erg-a-Thon 2020

On February 22nd, 2020 our junior rowers participate in a grueling team relay, hoping to raise funds toward much needed new racing equipment.

OUR STORY...

The Nereid Junior Rowing Team is a part of the Nereid Boat Club, a private rowing club in Rutherford, New Jersey.  We are a little team with a HUGE heart, made up of kids from all over New Jersey and New York, many from schools without rowing teams of their own.

Despite our small size and modest fleet, our dedicated athletes have placed in top spots at several nationally renowned regattas such as the Stotesbury Cup Regatta and Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. Last year Nereid also qualified three crews for the USRowing Youth National Championships, with our Men's Quad finishing in 4th place - the best finish from a Nereid crew at Youth Nationals ever. 

Through our annual Erg-a-thons, as well as other fundraisers, we have been able to purchase multiple brand-new boats and oars over the past few years. This new equipment makes a big difference to our team, especially as we grow and become more competitive.
