New family desperately need care and a safe place to stay

Bertha is a black and brown, floppy-eared lab / shepherd mix who was seized from a neglectful home, along with her six, 7-week-old newborn pups. Unfortunately, the owner did not want to care for them, and they were brought to a southern Virginia shelter that most likely has low resources, low foot traffic, and higher euthanasia rates – which is especially not safe for Bertha’s newborn pups, as they need special care and have no vaccinations to protect them against common contagious illnesses. Bertha also is malnourished and has lots of fleas, which will require extra treatment. Bertha and her family need special care and a safe place to receive that care – can you help bring this little family to Homeward Trails so they can receive the care they need in a safe place before finding their forever homes?
