Violet is a 1-year-old feist mix that was surrendered by her owner to a rural Virginia shelter with her two newborn babies due to no fault of her own. Violet’s 9-week old puppies - Ben and Jerry - are absolutely precious with big puppy eyes, floppy ears, and small smiles with brown and white and black and white markings. A rural Virginia shelter is no place for a new momma and her fresh, unvaccinated pups – especially as rural shelters often are loud, crowded, and have low resources and foot traffic.
