New Ewaka Village Build

We have purchased 2.75 acre property! Existing structures include an 8 Classroom School, 8 Bedroom Residence & an unfinished 3 room structure.

This land will be the key to Building our Future “Ewaka Village” to include a New Children’s Home, Training & Social Center, Medical Clinic, School Facility, Sustainable Garden & Animal Rescue. 

*Our property will offer the local community access to clean drinking water with our new solar water pump at our bore hole.

*Our New Home will greatly reduce our biggest expenses: Rent, Food, and School Fees. 

*Future Nursery & Primary School will enable us to provide quality education for our children and the surrounding community

*Farming & garden will not only produce nourishing meals for our children and the community, but will also provide agricultural education to our residents and the surrounding local community

*Tailoring Skills Training will give opportunities for our young adults, as well as single mothers and community members to create clothing and crafts.

*Community Center offering Weekend workshops in Dance, Yoga, Arts & Crafts and PeaceBuilding Curriculum with Emotional Intelligence give residents & community members opportunities together to socialize and express themselves while explore new talents and experiences.

*Animal Rescue will provide care for abandoned and abused animals. Our Animal outreach will teach Animal lovers how to care for their furry friends and provide vaccinations, spay/neuter, and animal wellness. Our own 5 dogs have proven to be a healing power with emotional support for our children!

Ewaka Village's School, Garden, and Mama Africa Craft Corner will create income for us to be a thriving Sustainable Community.

DEC 15TH UPDATE:

We are currently installing the front gate & fence, setting up our security area, solar water pump to our bore hole & electricity, cleaning up the 8 bedroom residence to move in before the end of December.

RESIDENCE/COMMUNITY CENTER: There are several things to be completed, such as changing locks, painting, repair broken windows and latrines, set up kitchen and community lounge. The library/study needs shelving, desks & chairs. We need kitchen & bathroom counters, stackable chairs, & many small items. Pavers to be installed around residence area to create an safe area for our 5 dogs.

SCHOOL: Our school will open Feb 2026 while we prepare for move in condition: install flooring, repair ceiling, replace locks and broken windows. Our outdoor courtyard to be completed with pavers. Classrooms need to be setup with necessary furniture, Whiteboards, and Scholastic materials. 

FUTURE RESIDENCE: This unfinished structure needs a Roof, Doors & Windows. This will be the new residence once completed & the current residence will be our new Community Center with Skills Training, Non-formal Arts Education with Activity, Art, Dance, Music, & Tailoring Skills Rooms.

AGRICULTURE/ SUSTAINABLE GARDEN: Set up our Chicken Coup, Create our Fish farming ponds, Setup an irrigation system, Plow land & plant seeds to grow our own vegetables & crops.

PROPERTY: Create walking path with pavers, our nature/park area with benches, and Setup a Playground with swingsets, play items & goals and boundaries for our football field.

CONSTRUCT NEW LATRINE & BUILDINGS: 

- Latrine for School to be constructed 

- Residence for Administration and Volunteers (2 classrooms will be remodeled as temporary residences) 

- Skills training for Computer Lab & Woodworking/Furniture Building

- Construct a Clinic & Kennel for our Animal Rescue & Outreach
