Olive Tree Youth Center is a before and after school program incorporated to offer enrichment programs to children in low-income families, ages 6 to 14. BLAST will offer an array of activities and disciplined programs, such as Health Awareness, Etiquette, Creative Arts and Financial Awareness. It will also offer a summer youth program. The Afterschool Alliance has reported that 1 in 5 kids are alone and unsupervised from 3 to 6 p.m." However, for every one student in afterschool, two more would love to participate, if a program were available.
Help us to ensure that low-income children have an opportunity to participate in an affordable after-school program. Therefore, your support and donation is the key to helping BLAST Youth Center purchase the necessary supplies and equipment needed for these programs. Now, more than ever, after school programs are needed to fill the gap after school, giving parents peace of mind while at work.
