Update on Jack

We have sad news Newf fans. Our sweet boy, Jack, is in the early stages of kidney disease. 😢 We will be doing some further analysis and investigating to see if we can find a cause and prognosis.

This, of course, means that our vet bills continue to increase. As such, we have decided to increase our goal and extend our medical fundraiser through the end of the month. We thank you all for your support so far, and ask that, if you are able to, please consider donating to their care. Donations through the fundraiser are tax-deductible. Please share!

On Monday, February 25th, two of our Minnesota Newfoundland Rescue volunteers traveled over 800 miles round-trip to bring six dog to the warmth and safety of our foster homes. All of these dogs came from a former breeder and had been kept outside with minimal shelter for their whole lives.

Our foster families have been working hard to get the dogs up-to-date on all of their vaccinations, getting them altered, and meeting their other medical needs, while transitioning them to a more normal doggy routine. Several of the dogs are underweight and continue to struggle with appetite.

Our group has been fortunate enough to receive many donations of food and supplies to transitions these dogs and help the blossom into wonderful family members. However, their medical costs are extensive. We make this appeal to Newfoundland lovers everywhere, if they are able to, to support the medical costs of these beautiful dogs. We could not do what we do without the financial support of people like YOU! For that, we are forever grateful. Thank-you!
