Why Donate?

OCD Recognition is asking for you to contribute a donation to the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) in order to help promote OCD research projects; with more research funds, we can better understand OCD and help spread awareness and support for those suffering. By raising money for IOCDF we hope to help individuals suffering from OCD take back control of their lives. Another primary goal is to help reduce stigma over the commonly misunderstood disorder.

OCD Recognition, a mental health awareness service, was founded by Sam Danchak, an avid supporter of sharing his personal experiences with OCD.  Sam looks to use OCD Recognition to help provide tips and support through his personal experiences with OCD. He was originally diagnosed with severe OCD at the age of only 8 and has been learning to manage over the past 9 years. Through years of therapy and growth, he hopes to help others suffering by providing them a sense of daily hope and motivation. OCD Recognition support is currently on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Sam is also available to talk individually through email, messenger, or direct messages. He has also created a website and blog where he posts weekly about his journey on overcoming his OCD.

As an IOCDF advocate (OCDvocate), Sam hopes to use OCD Recognition to raise over $500 for OCD research grants which conduct studies on the causes and treatment options of OCD and other related disorders. These research grants would then be awarded through the IOCDF Research Grant Program.
