Give for Good 2024

I am raising money to support The Village School of Louisville, a JK - 10th grade school inspired by the proven Finnish model of education, providing relevant, hands-on education rooted in equity. VSL believes that students thrive when their caregivers thrive and thus takes a whole family, not just a whole child approach to education. 

The VSL mascot is the phoenix; chosen by the first-year students, it fits this community well. VSL seeks to challenge every student, at the edge of their comfort zone, where mistakes will happen. Through community VSL students and faculty learn, fail, get back up, and trust that great things come from a process of continual improvement. In a social culture of judgment, VSL offers understanding; in an ultra-competitive society, VSL offers collaboration.  As the VSL mascot depicts, this community is the fire rising from the ashes, spreading its wings, and meeting the challenges of today as students take flight in the opportunities of the future. VSL is creating the bridge builders of tomorrow.
