Yogita's Side by Side Fundraiser

"Disability is not inability, and there is always ability in disability."

When I started medical school, I was overwhelmed by all of the specialties that were out there.  When I found Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, a field specialized in promoting function, often in patients who have endured catastrophic injuries, I felt that I found my calling.   Over the years I have met so many patients who have jumped leaps and bounds after heartbreaking situations and are now doing spectacular things in their home, work, and community!  But the road is not easy...

Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse is an incredible organization in Georgia that serves to advance the long-term well-being of people with brain injury-related disabilities and their families through skills development, support, and advocacy. It is truly a special place with so many special people and has served the GA Brain Injury community for over 20 years! I am honored on serve on their Board of Directors.
