Olympia Community Sailing would like to replace all 12 of it’s old fiberglass Opti sailboats with heavy duty roto-molded prams. Our Parks and Recreation beginner classes in the summer serve hundreds of Thurston county youth. We know the kids will love the colorful shades they come in, and so will you seeing them on Budd Inlet! No fiberglass, no repairs needed! The roto-molded plastic prams will survive countless years of learn-to-sail students and allow us to serve more students each summer because we won't have to set boats aside as replacements for boats that need emergency repairs.
These boats will create life-long memories for the thousands of students they will serve over the next few decades. Join us in our mission to make sailing more accessible to everyone!
Donors that Give Big and purchase a whole pram ($3000), or whose donation plus employer-matched funds equal a whole pram, will get to choose the color (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, white) AND name the boat!
