I am excited to participate and be a driver in Dave's Race for the second year in a row! I had the pleasure of meeting Dave, his family, and others affected by ALS at last year's event. Seeing the racing community of drivers, sponsors, and families come together literally brought tears to my eyes. So many amazing people are involved in this charity who've given their time (and money) to help find a cure.

I told myself (and my wife) that I will participate in this event every year going forward. Last year, I raised $1000 and this year, I'm looking to crush that number with the help of friends, family, and my professional network.

Racing For ALS started shortly after David Lloyd was diagnosed with ALS in October of 2017 by David and his brother Scott as a way to go make memories and have fun. Since then, it has become so much more!
 
Coming into the 2023 season, Racing for ALS is on the verge of raising $1,000,000 in funds that have had a 100% pass-through rate to fund ALS research and Assistance dollars for PALS (Persons with ALS).  All event, merchandise, and general donation proceeds go to three worthy beneficiaries via its Triple Target Funding initiative started on January 1, 2023, in the following proportions:

• 45% to ALS TDI

• 30% to Duke Neurology

• 25% to Racing For ALS Patient Assistance Fund

Donations of any amount, small or large, help improve the lives of patients and help fund research for a cure.
