Through our 10-month program Allies serve an apprenticeship at one of our partner organizations, attend weekly trainings that includes our signature Power & Privileges series, and create a team service project that will benefit a neighborhood in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. In efforts to provide holistic support to our Allies, we are seeking funding for the following areas:
- Emergency Fund: Over 50% of our Allies are economically disadvantaged and have experienced hardships, such as past due utility bills or transportation issue, establishing an emergency fund will provide temporary relief to financial burdens.
- Pathways Initiatives: This initiative is designed to ensure that our network of diverse and values- driven leaders achieve positions of influence and advance social justice and equity. Pathways are achieved through intentional coaching and connections to 2- or 4-year degree programs, gainful employment and/or enrollment in another term of national service once graduating from the Public Allies program.
- Mentorship Program: Allies are paired with cross-sector professionals who will serve as sounding boards and partners in assisting Allies navigating their term of service.
- Life after AmeriCorps Fair: We host this fair annually towards the end of the program year to allowed Allies and other National Service members an opportunity to network with 25+ recruiters so that they were able to secure their Pathways before graduating.
