So why is the story of Job important? Suffering is real!  It is a great classic story with compelling characters and interesting dialogue!  Job was from the Middle East area.  Provides some answers for long standing questions like, “Why is there suffering?” Muslims are highly aware of Job’s patience but not the narrative behind it.  Shows that God cares, God knows and God is in control of everything.  Just to name a few.

"Tomorrow, if all literature was to be destroyed and it was left to me to retain one work only, I should save Job.”  Victor Hugo (author)

SYNOPSIS - “SABER” (Arabic for Patience), a construction worker, one day is involved in a serious accident and is hospitalized.  He has a long road to recovery under close doctor’s supervision. His best friend “MAHMOUD” visits him and tries to be comforting but can’t help asking probing questions, “Why did this terrible thing happen to you?”. SABER asks MAHMOUD if he has heard of the story of the suffering and patience Job?  MAHMOUD answers, “I know he was the most patient of the Prophets, but I don’t know the story.”  SABER shares the story of Job from the Bible as we flash back to some of the key scenes from the story woven together with SABER’s own process of overcoming, persevering, loving in the midst of great pain.
