"What's best for kids?" If you know me, you know that's the question that drives my efforts and decisions - in education as a teacher, a principal, and currently as a Student Academic Success and Well-Being District Coordinator; volunteering on the board of the YMCA and Kent School Services Network; and just day-to-day life. I love kids, and I love running and being physically active, so running to support No Surrender Running Club is a perfect fit for me!
Those who know me also know that I have no problem asking for help, especially when it comes to supporting kids, so I'm asking for your help as I raise money for No Surrender Running Club by running 6.2 miles during the Riverbank Run on Saturday, May 11. My goal is $250 (and to finish the race strong!), so whatever you can give is appreciated!
No Surrender Running Club uses running as a way to encourage kids to stay physically active - which is so important - but also to develop relationships that empower kids and families to feel connected with the community.
So please donate to my fundraiser! Preparing for this race has been a great motivator for me to get out running this winter and spring, so thanks in advance for your support!
