But Perkins, the three-year old Red Bone Mix is more than just a good boy; he is a perfect boy. This quintessential perfect boy does nearly everything right. He takes a cool, calm, and collected approach to life where nothing phases him. He walks confidently and flawlessly on a leash. He is outgoing and friendly and is always happy to meet other people and dogs. He might just be potty trained. However, this incredible boy’s life has been anything but perfect. Perkins had to struggle through the first few years of his life as a stray in the rugged terrain of rural Virginia, never knowing the source of his next meal, constantly having to look for shelter. It was not until he was recently found and brought to a local shelter that he ever thought he would have a chance at finding a home again. Now, stuck in rural Virginia, Perkins hopes that someone, somewhere will be able to help him find a forever home.
