Established in 1977, Capital Christian School has been a pillar in Christ-centered education in the Sacramento region with its mission being to empower world changers through academic excellence, athletic distinction, artistic expression, and social engagement, all through a spiritual pursuit of biblical truth.
The boys basketball program plays a critical role in this mission as it provides a platform for student athletes to learn valuable life lessons through skill development, strategic implementation, competition, team bonding and program activities. Each year, the program serves a diverse group of 45 players; the majority of which are underserved economically and could easily be considered at-risk youths. Through education and sports, these student-athletes develop the skills needed to be successful in college and in life.
Since 2000, CCS Boys Basketball has proudly produced over 50 players who have earned scholarships to four-year universities such as Sacramento State, UC Davis, University of Nevada-Reno, University of Utah, University of Michigan, CSU Stanislaus, Holy Names University, Biola University, William Jessup University, and many more. The opportunity to attend Capital Christian and compete at a high level changed the trajectory of these young men's lives.
The cost to provide a quality athletic experience for these student-athletes is approximately $85,000 per year. The program relies heavily on the generosity of community supporters to execute its mission. Thank you for your partnership and supporting the Capital Christian Boys Basketball program.
