My name is Jennifer Cordes and I have taught at Overton Public School for 10 years. I just moved to the Pre-Kindergarten position this year! I previously taught first grade for 9 years. Our playground could use some excitement and color. The cement for our playground was just redone and I would like to have games/activities painted on it for our Preschool through 4th-grade students to enjoy during recess time. The games/activities that I would like to see added to our playground would be things such as four square, hopscotch, chutes and ladders, an obstacle course, etc. These games/activities would offer our students a wider variety of activities to choose from during recess. There are many benefits to adding these sorts of games/activities to the playground such as gross motor benefits, social-emotional benefits, number recognition, letter recognition, and just plain FUN! I think these games/activities would be a great addition to our school and our students. Thank you for your support!
