Program Scholarships

My name is Barbara J. Brooks, PhD, M.S.W. My skills and areas of expertise include social work and education. My professional title is President at R.A.M.A.L. Educational & Social Services, Inc., which specializes in social services and education. I received my Doctorate in social work from the University of Michigan. I am currently very involved with R.A.M.A.L. "Reach, Aim, Motivate and Lead", a 501(c)(3)tax-exempt non-profit organization.

The R.A.M.A.L. Educational and Social Services, Inc. was incorporated March 2009 and received tax-exempt status September, 2009. The Board of Directors are certified teachers, social workers, guidance counselors and business persons. "Six essential qualities that are the key to success: Sincerity, personal integrity, humility, courtesy, wisdom, charity," by Dr. William Menninger. These are beliefs we hold dear and close to everything we do.

Education & Mentoring Services
We conduct workshops and seminars to increase knowledge and awareness. We provide mentoring to individuals and families to change attitudes and increase life skills.

Children & Parenting Services
We provide activities, parenting education classes and encouragement for parents. We empower parents to play an integral role in the long-term success of their children.

Advocacy Services
We advocate social services for the unemployed, unhealthy, frail, senior citizens, homeless, uneducated and those who are reluctant to apply for services and benefits. We are there for you.

In addition to our regular services R.A.M.A.L. offers summer camp classes and other activities for at risk youth, but there are manywho cannot afford the fees associated with the programs. Through your generous giving, we will be able to help more children and families than ever before.
