"Thank you Operation LIPSTICK for thinking about the people behind the walls and supplying us with protective equipment that will help to keep our officers, non-custody staff and the men and women remanded to our care safe."                             Suffolk County Sheriff Steve Tompkins

Operation LIPSTICK is joining with Jay-Z's REFORM Alliance, Van Jones' #cut50 Sheriff Tompkins and Boston’s Community Coming Together to get face masks to people serving time in MA and CT.

Sheriff Steve Tompkins kicks off "Project Protect" this week by delivering 5,000 masks to county jails.

"Just as LIPSTICK helps forgotten women and girls caught up in the criminal justice system, we are answering a call-to-action in prison communities overlooked by traditional philanthropy and activism.” said Leonard Lee, LIPSTICK board chair and founder of Community Coming Together.

The more you give, the more people we can protect.  Please donate today.

Project  Protect will also provide PPEs to those re-entering society, in halfway houses, and others in need in communities we serve.

“Every day, I worry whether my husband will get sick,” said Tanya Spencer whose husband Jamal is serving time in Massachusetts. “Dying a painful death by this virus—cold, alone, starved for air—was never part of Jamal's sentence. Thank you to everyone who is part of this humanitarian effort so my husband can serve out his time and come back to the community safe, healthy and loved.”
