THE STORY:

Alzheimer’s disease touches more than 5 million Americans. The number of Americans living with Alzheimer’s is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we find a way to change the course of this disease. You can make a difference. This spring, Providence College will host its 5th Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, April 28th in order to raise awareness about the need for early identification of persons with Alzheimer’s and also raise much needed funds for research. All proceeds from the walk will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, Rhode Island Chapter.

The walk will be held at Providence College’s outdoor Track Facility rain or shine on Saturday April 28th, 2018. Last minute registrations will be accepted that day beginning at 1:00pm. The walk will kick-off at 2:00pm with music and food. The walk will end around 3:30pm. Pass the word along to your friends and family. All are welcome, but walkers must register online or in person on the day of the event. There will be free pizza and chances to win t-shirts and more! Donations will support research into prevention, treatments, and a cure for Alzheimer’s.

**You may donate without participating in the walk on the day of the walk!**
