Help grow EE in Utah!

What do you think about when you consider environmental education (EE)? It can take many scenes: waltzing through aspen groves, sitting in an outdoor amphitheater listening to a talk about the Great Salt Lake, romping through streams to measure water quality and collect critters, or picking up your binoculars to spot a bird in the distance. It is the vision and hope of the Utah Society for Environmental Education (USEE) to get everyone better access to environmental education, including the experiences listed above. We feel that environmental education, in general, builds empathetic learners equipped to manage current and future environmental issues. As humans continue to intersect with the environment, we will need leaders with a deep understanding of such relationships to make informed and responsible decisions. 

Due to this past years' support, USEE has been able to break ground on developing an environmental literacy plan for Utah, provide quality professional learning opportunities for over 150 educators across the state, develop actionable goals to increasing inclusion in the field of EE, and host our annual conference. All during a pandemic!
