DIVE DEEP FOR LILY'S SENIOR PUPS – A NEW POOL

Exciting news…

Several years ago many of you helped fund the installation of an above ground pool that was donated to Lily’s. The pool has been a terrific addition, greatly enhancing our ability to care for our senior pups, both in providing fun for them and more importantly, providing the water therapy that many of our pups need.  

And the pool blessing has happened again!!!! Just when our above ground pool has reached the end of its useful life, several donors have come forward to fund the purchase and part of the installation of a fiberglass, inground pool. Look at this beauty... the perfect size and depth for our pups! 

Many of the senior pups who enter our care, unfortunately, arrive having endured physical and/or mental neglect or mistreatment. Others may have come from a caring home, but now find themselves lost in unfamiliar circumstances. Senior pups may also suffer from painful physical ailments like arthritis, hip dysplasia or orthopedic problems. Many need surgeries, recovery from which is greatly enhanced by water therapy Whatever their tale, each dog has its own individual road to recovery to follow. The physical and emotional benefits of this pool will shorten that journey considerably, and will also help to further socialize the dogs by creating a bond of trust. All of these benefits further boost the chances of a successful adoption, and guarantee a better quality of life – something these beautiful creatures so richly deserve.

You can play a central part in making this pool a reality. To make this dream come true for our pups, we need to raise an additional $17,500, which will be spent on:

• Preparing the ground
• Installing the pool, surrounding deck and fencing
• Hooking up electrical and plumbing required
• Purchasing a pool cover

If each of our social media followers donated just $1.50, we would exceed our target. Your contribution will ensure many years of water therapy and joy for our dogs. If you cannot contribute financially, please spread the word far and wide on social media and in your local community, or consider joining us as a volunteer.
