Built in 1844, Rancho Los Cerritos is a historic landmark and museum. Our site currently houses 15,000 artifacts and archival materials that span from prehistoric times to 1945. These include textiles, furniture, paintings, photographs, maps, and more. Every object in our collection tells a story that provides insight into the lifeways that made up California history.

The preservation of these artifacts ensures that the stories they tell remain alive for present and future generations. However, we cannot do this without support from our community. From the smallest cleaning tools to professional grade restoration work, the care and maintenance of centuries old artifacts requires a great deal of resources.
