Beyond the Classroom

Express H.O.M.E. Program (H.O.M.E. stands for Helping Others Magnify Education) is a Non-Profit Organization based in Georgia.  

Our Mission: To develop and implement educational programs that can benefit either one person or a group.

This program was developed in 2010 with my daughter to help her get into College.  Living with a disability she knew it would be hard but not impossible. After researching avenues we realized everyone may not be able to attend college, but still needed a way to train and gain employable skills.  So with my daughter's help this unique and needed program was developed.

The Special Training Program is a Certificate Program that will give students an opportunity to have on the job training while recognizing and developing their employable strengths.  This program was developed for High School students with learning disabilities.  Programs will  be introduced and  implemented in three locations first;  Athens, Ga. , Augusta, Ga. and Valdosta, Ga.

The possibilities are endless at Boggs Rural Life Center, Inc. "BOGGS"  (Formalyy Boggs Academy) as a partner our goal is to continue to educate and  help others while helping them grow.   

Though there are other programs and projects at this location we are only focusing on this training program.  

Before closing its doors in 1986, "Boggs" had a mission and a focus; it was a preparatory school for African Americans students that were deprived of an equal education.   Today following their lead in educating a deserving and undeserved population, our team is willing to step in and help  students not being educated/trained  to their full potential.  Our program is to help students with learning disabilities.  "Boggs" Not only will it be a preparatory site but a true transition site.

At Boggs we can become a dual enrollment program for students from Burke, Jefferson, and parts of Richmond County.   This program has been known also to be a crime prevention tool, since many students act out when they feel they have no hope.  We give them hope, purpose, self awareness and direction, but most of all we give them choices.  Through  our unique leadership component we allow them to give back to their community while learning more about themselves.  If you would like more information on this program email us at expresshomeprogram@gmail.com
