The War on Women is a rebrand of the abortion debate and nonviolent call to action. Our focus is on creating transparency around the devastating effects of overturning Roe v Wade on social equality and the economy in Texas and across the country.

We are a group of powerful women. Women of action. Women who are brilliant, diverse, organized and connected. Most importantly, we might be women that have been underestimated in the past. As women, especially as Texas women, we share in your anguish, stress and dread as we embark on a midterm election so crucial to the future of women’s healthcare and equitable health policy that it affects all of us in Texas and in the country.

We are done being overwhelmed by the work that is ahead — and we are going out in numbers never seen before to show how much we want change at the polls this November.

To draw attention to this important issue, the organizers of W.O.W, in collaboration with reproductive health non-profit Born Into This, have kicked off a pro-choice billboard campaign to target surrounding metropolitan suburbs in Texas, bringing to life the statistic that 89% of maternal deaths due to pregnancy in Texas are preventable — if doctors are empowered to help. In a community that posts value on a baby’s life above all else — these ads pose questions surrounding the value of the mother’s life — while hinting to the effect of the loss on her partner, children and even doctors that she leaves behind. The imagery is in the form of surrealist collages that mix stock photography & real pictures from personal tragedies W.O.W. members have experienced. These graphics mimic the style of anti-reproductive autonomy campaigns in order to meet the community in a familiar way to spark conversations around the implications of restricting bodily autonomy which impact the health, safety and lives of ALL women.

Our goal is to raise $15,000+ to get these up starting next week that would run every minute during peak hours in these targeted areas of the state. Please consider a tax-deductible donation which will also donate a portion of proceeds to Born Into This, a non-profit on a mission to revolutionize our relationship to our body and reproductive health through a collective of conversations.

Share, Share, Share- we need your collective help to make this happen!
