Rodney is preparing to take pictures for the USA Deaf Track & Field team at the Deaflympics in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, on May 1 - 15, 2022.

The Summer Deaflympics, the world's 2nd oldest international competition next to the Olympics, is among the world's fastest-growing sporting events. Nearly 3,000 Deaf athletes and officials from 86 countries participated in the 23rd Summer Deaflympics in Samsun, Turkey, in 2017. The Games were built over nearly 100 years of tradition. Organized since 1924 by the Comite International des Sports des Sourds (The International Committee of Sports for the Deaf), the first Summer Deaflympics was held in Paris, France. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) sanctions the Summer Deaflympics.
