Poor Jasper Lived His Whole Life In a Cage

This sad boy is Jasper.  He has lived a truly depressing life since the beginning.  For the past 10 years, Jasper has been confined to a dirt pen outside.  He never touched foot on a soft bed or even grass.  His paws were in such bad condition when he was found that the pads had turned to mush.  His skin was badly infected because of the filth he was living in and his ears had developed horrible yeast infections.  His owner threw food to him a few times a month, but other than that he was completely neglected.  Thankfully, a good Samaritan neighbor convinced Jasper's owner to give him up so that he can get the care he desperately needed.  Even though life at the rural VA shelter he is in now is better than the dirt pen he was living in, it is time for Jasper's luck to change.  He shouldn't have to live one more day in a pen or a shelter run.  Homeward Trails is ready with open arms to accept this sweet boy, but we need him to be sponsored so that we can provide the best care possible.  Please donate to Jasper's rescue today!
