River is Begging for His Turn to be Rescued

River is such a cute 9 month old puppy. It is hard to believe he was found as a stray in rural southern VA. This sweetheart had spent an unknown amount of time outside, scrounging for food and doing all he could to survive. After such hardship, it is no surprise that River is likely infested with worms and in overall fair condition. A sweet pup like River shouldn't be just barely getting by, but rather thriving with love and good health in a wonderful family's home! Even though he has had a very tough short life so far, you can tell he is so happy. A constantly wagging tail and an adorable butt wiggle melts your heart. Unfortunately, River's tail wagging may be fading if he has to spend any more time at the rural VA shelter he was brought to. The shelter has to make very critical decisions when their cement kennels get full, and HT can't bear to leave River behind to potential meet a very sad fate.
