For almost 50 years the Red River Revel has presented a hallmark annual event for the region, celebrating visual art, music, food, dance, theatre and more. The 48th Annual Red River Revel is slated for Sept. 28 - Oct 6, 2024. 

The Revel's mission is support art and art education, and a big part of its history is lifting up the musicians and bands of the region. One challenge we face is the skyrocketing cost of nationally-touring artists and musicians post-pandemic. For example, artists who played at the Revel just 5 years ago now cost three to four times as much! While popular music is needed to draw the audience to the festival, this change has put a strain on our organization's ability to equitably hire local and regional musicians.
