Rose Hill's Farm Program

Since 1992, Rose Hill Center has provided treatment to over 1,800 individuals struggling with various mental health concerns.

Many graduates of Rose Hill cite our work programs as playing a key role in their recovery.   Working on the farm is one of the options our residents may choose for their work program.

Engaging in the care of farm animals and the maintenance of the barn has contributed to the recovery process for many Rose Hill residents.  Meaningful daily activity that combines skill-building and tangible positive results helps our residents build self-esteem and develop necessary social and vocational skills.

How You Can Help

The barn at Rose Hill is one of the largest working barns in Oakland County. In 2025, we will celebrate the barn's 100th anniversary. As you might imagine, a barn this old requires regular maintenance and upkeep.

Recently a rogue group of raccoons directed a night-time raid on our peacock pens, leading to the loss of some of our birds. This pen, along with other areas of our farm, needs to be made raccoon-proof. Along with that work, our stables, chicken coops, and other livestock areas are in need of repair and upgrades.

Please Give

Your contribution will help with needed updates on the farm and with the care of the animals.  Enhancing and upgrading the pens and stables that house our animals and improving the accessibility of these areas will make a difference to the animals and to the residents who care for them.

Your generosity does matter as our residents progress along the path to mental health recovery!
