Tied Up And Alone, Rubio Wants to Be Free

Rubio's life has been nothing short of miserable. He has spent the last 2 years tied up to a stake at a farm. No shelter from the weather and no safety from predators. Poor Rubio never knew when he would get his next meal or bowl of clean water. The only person to bring him nourishment was a farm worker that would come to the field to work. Every day Rubio would wait, hoping he didn't have to spend the day starving while living in a small dirt area on a rope. After living in misery, a woman found out about him and called our rescue partners to see if they could help save him. The kind farm worker convinced Rubio's owner that he deserved a better life. One where he had comforts of a roof over his head and a soft place to lay, where he could have consistent access to clean drinking water and timely meals. The owners made the right decision (after making such bad decisions for 2 years) and turned Rubio over. Rubio's journey is ready for the next chapter, where this sweet Cairn terrier mix comes to the DC area from Puerto Rico start his new life!
