Saba was found in the middle of the street in Puerto Rico, un-spayed and in heat, surrounded by male dogs. When a Good Samaritan came along, they got out of their car to shoo the males away. By the time they got back to their car, Saba had already climbed into the passenger seat and made herself at home! Saba was determined to have a better life.

We admire Saba's perseverance and determination! She is a survivor in a place where it is difficult to survive. Too often, stray dogs in Puerto Rico face a life filled with struggle, abuse, abandonment, and neglect. Too often, they are run off and overlooked. The local rescues are full and lack the resources to save good dogs likes Saba. That's where we come in.

Saba is a sweet, playful gal. She loves swimming and pets. We know she'll be the perfect co-pilot for somebody! But first, we have to get her out of Puerto Rico. Will you help us bring Saba to Virginia to be with the Homeward Trails team?
