Duke is So Sad That He is Homeless

Poor Duke is so sad. This sweet 1 year old beagle is homeless and living at a rural VA shelter.  He was found as a stray and no one knows how long he hasn't had a home for. His eyes say it all though - he is sad and lonely. Life as a stray is hard enough, but Duke's life likely hasn't improved much being in a shelter either. What he really wants is a home to call his own, with owners that will love him forever. Homeward Trails would be delighted to get him on the next ride to the DC area, and some veterinary care as well. The only thing standing in the way now is that his rescue has to be fully sponsored before he can be saved from the shelter. Can you help make Duke's dreams of a forever family come true?
