Parents, families, friends, and supporters of the French Broad River Academy,

It has been an impressive start to the 2018/19 school year. The Girls program, now in its fourth year, has experienced tremendous growth and success under the direction of Jen Horschman and her staff.  Andrew Holcombe continues to provide strong leadership at the Boys program as they settle into their tenth year. Whether in the classroom, on the water, or in advisory groups, the dedication and commitment of this staff to our students is unparalleled. It is an extraordinary time at FBRA, and with your financial help, we will continue to make extraordinary things happen.

Since its inception, the actual cost of the FBRA experience has exceeded our tuition. The budget gap is met by generous donations from people like you. This year, at least 7% of the FBRA operating budget depends on financial contributions to our annual fund, known as “The Salamander Fund.” In previous years, the Salamander Fund has enabled FBRA to pioneer new programming options, increase teacher salaries and benefits, and expand our ability to offer financial aid.

Our goal is 100% participation in our effort to raise the $90,000 that our current budget relies upon. Being able to communicate that all current families, staff, board, and alumni families participate is critically important for securing outside funding sources. Also, since financial contributions are 100% tax-deductible, FBRA can provide a tax benefit instead of increasing tuition to cover the shortfall. Please make a donation today to help us achieve our $90,000 fundraising goal.

We are grateful for the trust you have given us and for all of the ways you support FBRA. Thank you in advance for your financial support.

Sincerely,

Will Yeiser, Executive Director

Gordon Grant, Board Chair
