Sar for Georgians for a Healthy Future

Health care is a right, not a privilege. 

As an ER doctor, I treat patients every day who are struggling with their health, housing, food security, low wages, and low levels of education. As the American city with the greatest income inequality, many Atlantans (and Georgians on the whole) are being left behind by the top 10%. You can't achieve at school if you don't know where your next meal is coming from. You can't manage your health - taking blood pressure medicine and eating healthy - if you can't afford rent. These are just some of the issues that Georgians for a Healthy Future is working to rectify.  

In this time of national political turmoil, while the rope of our social safety net frays before our eyes, GHF continues to fight for Medicaid and to elevate the voices of those who rely on government subsidized healthcare to get by.

As the state's preeminent nonpartisan health advocacy organization, GHF advocates for all Georgians to be able to live their healthiest lives, especially those who are most under-resourced (low-income, people of color, LGBTQ+, etc.). 

The incredible staff at GHF work every day to make Georgia a healthier, more equitable and just place; a Georgia that supports everyone reaching their full potential; a place where I want to live and raise my family.
