Ellie is looking for her forever home

Ellie was found languishing on the side of the road in West Virginia. Having to contend with the summer heat, dehydration, and a lack of food would have left her at major risk. It is pure luck that rescuers found her when they did. Ellie appears to be 8 months old and it is not clear how long she has had to struggle on her own. Despite this hardship she still has a sweet nature and likes being with people. 

With people going back to in person work many dogs that were adopted during lockdown are being surrendered and shelters are increasingly overrun. We know that Ellie's best chance at being rehomed is to transport her to Homeward Trails to make sure she has everything she needs before settling with a new family.
