Sick Mom and 7 Pups Need Urgent Transport

Five weeks ago, Mama Jewel gave birth to seven beautiful puppies. She has been such a great mom and has taken wonderful care of her babies. Sadly they were not in a safe environment, were seized from an unfit home and brought to a shelter in Georgia. Jewel has tested heartworm positive. These pups are still dependent on their mama and need her to be in good health so they can thrive. We know the best way to get them all the care they need, is for them to be transported to Homeward Trails. 

Because of Jewel’s sickness and that effect on the puppies this is an emergency transport and they need to be brought in by tomorrow. We need to get them veterinary services and into a safe home so that the puppies have a chance to thrive and it needs to happen now. Once we get Jewel well and treated for her heartworm, and the puppies are healthy, we can start finding forever homes for this brave mama and each of her puppies. After everything Jewel and these wonderful babies have been through, they deserve the safe and loving home they did not have in the start.
