In 2010, my first son Lennon, was born prematurely and was admitted to the hospital NICU. Later, we learned that he was succeptible to a illness of prematurity called NEC. Contracting that illness occurs 6-10 times less by the use of brest milk for nutrition.

Later that year, my wife started a non-profit organization to open a milk bank so that all families with babies born prematurely will have access to safely processed donated breast milk. With the opening of the milk bank, parents can focus on bringing their baby home.
