To beloved family and friends

I have been given an amazing opportunity to go overseas to share the Jesus and His gospel to the locals in Yangsan, South Korea.  This is a very nerve wrecking, yet exciting calling in my life because this will be my first overseas mission trip.  Although there is much uncertainty and fear due to not knowing what this trip is going to be like, I know through faith that God will use the team I have been blessed with and myself to be the messengers of the gospel in this region.

My Team and I will be stationed in Yangsan, South Korea from July 17th to August 3rd.  Some of the things that we will be doing include leading Vacation Bible School for the youth throughout the day and English Camp with high school students and older during the evening.  I believe that God will use this team of 7 faithful servants to not only teach the locals about the bible and some English, but also, and more importantly, reflect the love that God pours out on this team on to those we will be working with for the duration of our trip.

I believe that the body of Christ needs to support one another at all times, and this mission trip is no different.  Although it is a group of 7 who will be traveling to Korea to do God’s mission work, we need your support and your prayers because I know that there will be many struggles and difficulties throughout the trip.

I would like to humbly ask of you be a part of an intercessory prayer group that will pray for not only this team, but for the people of Korea as well.

Some specific prayer requests I would ask you to pray for are

  1. For this team to place our focus on to God under all circumstances and know that everything is happening according to God’s perfect and holy plan.
  2. To obey Jesus’ command to go and make disciples of all nation as it is written in Matthew 28:18-20.
  3. To be able to love on the people around us and have compassion for the people just has Christ loved us and showed compassion for us even though we are sinners.
  4. For unity and vulnerability in the team, that we will not be afraid to share the struggles we face, knowing that there is no judgment, but that we are there to encourage one another as well.
  5. To be able to trust in God, even though plans may change suddenly and events might not go according to our own plan just as it says in Philippians 4:6-7
  6. To find joy in all that we do, both in the good times and bad, as it says in James 1:2-5

For this mission trip, I have to raise $1000.00 by August 1st, which will cover flight and transportation in Korea.  If you are able and convicted to support me financially, you may donate to me through this website.  Any amount of donation is helpful and greatly appreciated!

I am very excited and look forward to see how God will open my eyes to how He is moving in various parts of the world and how He will use me as a mouthpiece to share the gospel to the people of Korea.  Thank you for your time in reading this letter and for partnering with me on my mission trip.  If you have any questions regarding this trip, please feel free to contact me at lee.ken.h.91@gmail.com

A quick update on mission prep:

I have been able to raise half of my cost but I still need to raise $450 more.

Please help me reach this goal with your support and continue to keep us in your prayers.

Thank you so much!

Another update!

Our team was able to raise the funds needed to go on this trip!

Thank you so much for supporting us.

Please keep us in your prayers as we go on this trip that we will do everything to glorify God in all that we do and that we will do His Kingdom work!

Sincerely,

Ken Lee
