Clovis is an old German name meaning renowned fighter, and we couldn't think of a more perfect name for our husky pup!

This sweet boy found his way to the amazing people at Heath's Heaven rescue. He sustained extensive trauma that was left untreated as a very young puppy which ultimately left him unable to use his pelvic limbs, but with their dedication his life completely turned around. After extensive veterinary care and rehabilitation, he was deemed adoptable!

With that ever-present smile, how could we not fall in love and bring him to our farm in Fort Collins?! Now he spends his days playing with our other animals (permanent residents and fosters), rolling around in the tall grass, and receiving all the pets. The perfect dog life 💕

We know firsthand how much of a difference rehabilitation can mean to an animal. That's why we want to support the Northern Colorado Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Although our boy's care may have looked different than the countless animals they serve, it gave him the full and adventurous life he is now living. The wildlife in our area deserve the same!

As you can see in the video below, this boy can motor! His injuries left him without conscious control of his hind legs (we call them his 'happy feet' because they almost never stop dancing around!), but his chair gives him the support he needs to dash around like all huskies should!

Although he has movement in his pelvic limbs, he does not have conscious control of them. His wheels allow him to run free in the field with our other dogs!
