Shaping Our Future Campaign

 Last week I visited Mr. Smith’s third grade woodshop class.  They are now building a replica of the Willis Tower they saw on the Chicago Architecture Foundation boat cruise they attended in September.  Watching nine year olds apply abstract principles of physics, design, and art in such an authentic environment blew my mind.  And it reminded me that real learning takes many shapes and forms.

Witnessing the magic in Mr. Smith’s classroom classroom reinforces for me that FRA’s mission, in partnership with you, is to help lay the foundation for a child’s future success and happiness.  

Not only do words and actions impact your children, your generous gifts of time, talent and dollars to the school allows us to provide the resources to make a difference in your child’s educational experiences.  That’s why our annual GIVINGTUESDAY campaign on December 3 is so important.  

 I hope you will be as inspired as I was watching Oliver, Evie, Sam, Aiden, Nate, and Asmanideep  working with their hands—and their minds, hearts, and souls—last week.  Every dollar you are willing and able to contribute to this year's #GIVINGTUESDAY campaign is a brick in the foundation for our children’s future.  Sincerely,
