Shelby Mouser is Fundraising for Day Spring

Two years ago, I took a job at Day Spring to begin my journey as a nonprofit professional. I had no idea then the impact it would have on my life.

Not only has Day Spring allowed me to begin the career that I have strived for, but it has also given me community and purpose. It's not just a job; it's a commitment to spread good and make our residents' lives better.

The people we serve are the most authentic, kind, and caring people I have met, and I am grateful that my work life is intertwined with their home life. They deserve the world and more.

My current role at Day Spring as Director of Development is very involved in raising essential funds for the organization. Day Spring faces financial challenges every year, and the only way to meet the budget and break even is through fundraising.

While the development department is only a mighty team of two, we do everything we can to meet our goals because, again, our people deserve it! 

Days like Give for Good are so important to smaller, less-known organizations like ours because they bring awareness to our mission and introduce us to new people.
