Sheltering Arms is critical to family stability in the best of times. As destabilizing as the COVID-19 crisis is for many of us, it is devastating for underserved families with little or no resources.
Our most urgent need is support of our 3,000 children’s continued educational progress and development and our emergency distribution program. Sheltering Arms provides diapers, wipes, baby formula, hygiene essentials and more. Sheltering Arms continues to do everything we can to work together with our families to ensure we all continue successfully through this crisis together.

Sheltering Arms is Georgia’s longest-established, and one of the largest, nonprofit providers of early childhood education. Since 1888, we have provided children their best possible start in a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn and grow. We are also committed to helping their families make life more secure now and for generations to come.
Today, Sheltering Arms has 14 metro Atlanta centers in Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton and Gwinnett counties, and offers more than 3,000 young children each year high-quality early childhood education and comprehensive family services designed to transform communities and break the cycle of generational poverty.
