Shiloah Hale
Transplant Type - Kidney
Update: Shiloah received a transplant on November 12, 2019!
She was born with chronic kidney disease, which began to worsen when she was a teenager. She has since learned that she suffers from focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a rare condition. Doctors now say a kidney transplant is necessary. Thankfully, her husband, Scott, has been found to be a perfect donor match and will donate one of his kidneys to save Shiloah’s life!
Although some days are hard, Shiloah considers herself blessed to feel as well as she does. She and Scott enjoy working out together, spending time with their dogs, and being active in their church. Shiloah looks forward to feeling better and living a life without health issues holding her back, but right now, she needs your help.
The average kidney transplant costs approximately $335,000. And that’s only the beginning. Even with insurance, which will cover the cost of the transplant, she still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of her life, she will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications, which are as critical to her survival as the transplant itself.
You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to NFT in honor of Shiloah. If you'd prefer to send your gift by mail, please send it to the NFT Texas Transplant Fund, 3249 W. Sarazens Circle, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38125. Please be sure to write "in honor of Shiloah Hale" on the memo line.
Thank you for your generosity!
