Update posted 4 years ago

Thanks to you, we are less than $5,000 away from reaching our fundraising goal of $20,000 for the end of the year! The money we raise through individual donors gives our legal team more resources to

  • Equip and support victims' rights attorneys and advocates working directly with victims;
  • Create new educational materials reflecting the latest developments in victims' rights for professionals;
  • Testify on behalf of victims' rights enforcement in cases across the United States; and more!

Your donation today, no matter what size, means we can show up for justice all year.

For many victims, even years after their victimization, fighting for justice is still their goal this holiday season.

Yet something powerful happens when victims, attorneys and advocates show up together to fight against injustice. Your donations this holiday season ensure that we can show up to make rights meaningful for victims in every step of their journey!  NCVLI works tirelessly on victims' rights enforcement cases across the United States and shows up for justice with more than 100 partners to make rights a reality for victims.  Our work depends on donors like you showing up with us.  Join us in supporting victims' rights, victims' access to victim-centered attorneys, and meaningful rights enforcement: help us reach our goal for 2019!

Over this past year alone, we

  • Filed eight amicus briefs including an amicus  brief supporting the victims of the late Jeffrey Epstein, arguing that the federal court had a duty to protect victims' rights and should provide a remedy for  violations of those rights regardless ofEpstein's death.  (The government failed to confer with the victims and reached a non-prosecution agreement thereby denying the victims access to justice in a case in which a trial court determined Epstein  sexually abused more than thirty minor girls across the United States and overseas.)
  • Conducted eight law enforcement-specific trainings and provided resources for victim-inclusive, trauma-informed policing so that victims won't be re-traumatized when first responders arrive on the scene.

  • Showed up in all 50 states for victims.
