#RaiseTheRim - 40 Miles in 40 Days
A nonprofit fundraiser supporting
Tahoe Rim Trail AssociationThis August, I plan to hike 40 miles to raise money for the TRTA's 40th anniversary!

raised by 12 people
$250 goal
I had the indelible experience of hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail in 2018 to celebrate my 80th birthday, covering the 191 miles (including access trails) in 11 weekly segments. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty of the Sierras with a supportive group of 11 hikers plus guides and an exhilarating (and sometimes painful) journey made possible by the dedicated and inspiring Tahoe Rim Trail Association staff.
This year is the 40th anniversary of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association and I have signed up for a fundraising event to help support the TRTA mission. The small and dedicated staff working along with a large group of volunteers provides the hiking community with a host of recreational opportunities, including guided weekly segment and thru-hikes, backcountry skills courses and backcountry camps for young hikers. They also spend hundreds of hours each year improving and maintaining the trail system.
To support the continuing work of this fine group, I’ve committed to hiking 40 miles on TRTA trails during August and raising $250 for the association
It’s a privilege for me to support the important work of the TRTA! If you feel so inclined, I invite you help with this fundraiser.
Thank you for considering a dollar or two
For the TRTA and the great work they do!
THANK YOU!
